Abstract
Peptic ulcer is common in many parts of the world including India and remains a major medical problem. However, it is evident from a perusal of available literature that no efforts had been made to investigate the etiology of peptic ulcer in Manipur where our unpublished data reveals the high prevalence of this disease. Duodenal ulcer is far more dominant in this region.
